A New Year, A New You!

With a New Year starting most people think it is a great time to start fresh, begin a new project or a new program.  But my question to you is did you get rid of the old first?  Are you planning on doing the new changes by sheer will power?  For some people it can be done, others give up because it just seems to be too hard.  The fact is that the subconscious mind has much to do with the success of our endeavors.  If we don't clean out the old patterns or thoughts before moving on to the new, then we are just on the vicious hamster wheel again, going nowhere.  So what can you do about it? Like Einstein said, “You cannot solve a problem from the same dimension as it was created in”.  Okay, so what does that mean? You need to change your perspective or viewpoint at which the problem occurred.  To start, the mind does not comprehend the words not, or can’t.   When the phrase “I don’t want to get in ……” (fill in the blank), what the mind hears is “Yes, I want ……..”  When the mind hears it, and you put emotion behind the thought, then it starts to become reality.  Now, change the phrase around to something like “I live in abundance of …….. (fill in the blank) for example:  “I live in abundance of financial freedom”, or “I have a healthy, vibrant, body that is at the appropriate body weight for me”.

There are many ways to help change the patterns of your thoughts and you can do them on your own or with a professional.  Look for future articles in the upcoming newsletters on how you can change your life by changing your thoughts first!  Call today to set up an appointment to get a head start on your new project and succeed.  It will give you more time and energy to do the next one on the list!

Are you listening?

Listening to what? To whom? You are probably curious to what I am referring to.  I am talking about your body.  The body is trying to talk to us and it's more than the stomach growls or the burps.  When the body aches, it is saying more than "I am getting old" or "no pain, no gain".  Our thoughts and emotions play a big role in what our body does, acts, or responds to.  When we have an emotion to something we heard or think we have two choices in dealing with it.  1) We can let it go and it doesn’t bother or faze us, or 2) we can dwell on it until we set it aside or we let go of it completely.  Many times in our lives, we have set it aside to deal with it later, whether it may be an argument with our significant other, or someone hurt our feelings when we were little by saying something rude/ mean.  It could be from our own thoughts of not being good enough for something.  All of these emotions are stored in our body.  It could be in the cellular level and that is why no matter how many times we dieted, tried different programs, or eat healthier, the fat doesn’t stay off.  The body has memory and if we didn’t get rid of the emotion that is there, then the body will continue to manifest in whatever state it has chosen.  The body fat, the bum knee, the tight neck, even the high blood pressure are all areas of where the emotions get trapped.  By having energy work, meditating, or other healthy alternative methods to release the emotions, then the body will start feeling better and you can enjoy life without the aches and pains.  So, the next time you have an ache somewhere in your body, stop, listen, and ask yourself “what do you need from me to release this emotion right now?”  Then listen for the response, the body will tell you if you just be quiet enough to listen.  The main thing to remember is you don’t even have to know what the emotion is that is trapped; just acknowledging the body ache is really the first major step for wellness.  If you want to experience and learn more, book an appointment today at Energy Within.
